🌿 Garden Statement Candles FAQ

What makes Garden Statement Candles special?

Each candle is hand-poured in small batches using a clean, sustainable coconut–soy wax blend and cotton-core wicks (cotton-based, free of lead and zinc). Our glass vessels are crafted from 100% recycled glass, and our packaging is intentionally simple, recyclable, and reusable. FSC-certified and completely plastic-free.

Garden Statement scents are thoughtfully curated to capture what’s current while remaining timeless, often inspired locally or simply by nature and nostalgia. Our goal is for every fragrance to smell like the real thing — familiar, yet elevated.

We pour with the belief that luxury should feel effortless — and that natural can still smell extraordinary.

Are your candles all-natural?

Yes. Our waxes are plant-based, free from paraffin, phthalates, and parabens, and contain no dyes or unnecessary additives. Every element is selected for a clean, non-toxic burn and a naturally balanced scent experience.

What kind of fragrance oils do you use?

We use premium, skin-safe fragrance oils that meet cosmetic and soap-making standards. They are vegan, cruelty-free, and blended with essential oils for natural depth. They won’t damage surfaces or release harmful residues — they’re gentle on your home and air.

How should I care for my candle?

  • First burn: Allow the wax to melt evenly across the top — about 2–3 hours. If it doesn’t reach the edges, don’t worry; our soft coconut–soy wax will self-level with repeated burns.

  • Trim your wick: Before each burn, trim to ¼ inch. If the wick begins to curl, trim it so it stands straight — this keeps the flame clean and helps prevent sooting.

  • Burn time: Limit each session to 3–4 hours for best performance.

  • End of life: Stop burning when about ½ inch of wax remains.

  • Reuse tip: Freeze the jar to help release leftover wax, then use a dab of rubbing alcohol to lift the wick sticker cleanly.

Do candles need to cure before use?

Yes. And especially to experience the intended hot-throw, which is the candle’s ability to project fragrance when lit or heated.

Natural waxes like coconut–soy continue to develop as they set. We allow candles to cure for at least 10–14 days before release, but the fragrance will continue to bloom and balance over time (like a fine wine) — often becoming richer after the second or third burn.

For best fragrance hot-throw, please allow 1-2 burns before expecting full performance.

How long will my candle burn?

Each 10 oz candle burns approximately 30–40 hours, depending on room conditions (room size, or air flow, for example) and wick care.

Larger spaces may benefit from several candles placed strategically, or vessels with larger diameter and multiple wicks, which we plan to offer in 2026.

Why does my candle’s surface look slightly uneven sometimes?

That’s part of the nature of coconut–soy wax, which you’ll notice is more creamy, smooth, and opaque than paraffin blends. Small texture changes or “frosting” are harmless and all hallmarks of a natural, additive-free candle.

Are your candles safe for homes with pets and children?

Yes. Our candles are non-toxic and made for use in homes with pets and young ones when burned responsibly.
